After Buxton Museum and Art Gallery closed down on 23 March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, we realised that visitors would not be able to come to see us and that people who we relied on would be without income. With this in mind, we applied for and were awarded Arts Council England Emergency Support Funding.
We still wanted to provide our local audience with imaginative and engaging content. To do this, we commissioned work from 12 local artists and asked them to produce digital art for you to enjoy at home or see in the museum, when it reopens. Artist and storyteller Creeping Toad reveals how he is going to respond to the challenge on his blog.
